The Atlanta chapter embraces the New Year with a feeling of optimism buoyed in part by a successful Christmas party in December. Attendees had such a good time we hope this will translate into increased support for our initiatives during 2008.
Last year, despite our small budget, we were able to contribute to a number of initiatives at Kingston College. These included:
The KC Development trust fund (KCDTF)
Basketball hoops for North Street campus
The Scholarship Fund
The Melbourne Park Social Services Building
Partnering with our brothers in the other chapters, we intend to make even bigger contributions this year.
We are already planning our annual banquet that will take place on June 14. In the spring we have plans for a walk-a-thon fundraiser. And we’ll round out the year with our annual Christmas party for which we have already set a date and reserved the venue.
We have several initiatives relating to the Internet. Last year we added online payment capability to our newsletter and this year we will add membership signup. Also on our list is a web site for Kingston College.
Thanks to a team of dedicated KC old Boys, we look forward an even more successful year than last.
